WHAT WE CAN LEARN FROM THE ANTARCTIC

Visit our educational program

Wild-Touch uses the dramatic strength of movies to create an unprecedented educational program: from the glaciology pioneers’ epic journey in the Antarctic to the new generation reinventing our future society. From discovering climate change to revealing its impacts on our natural assets. Visit our new educational program on:
education.iceandsky.com

Through the Ice & Sky educational kit, I intend to give a voice to both generations: a team of climate science forerunners led by Claude Lorius, and a new generation of stakeholders who are now taking action to preserve our planet, with the same level of commitment.
Although 60 years have passed, they invent and create in order to come up with a world where men would lead a better life on a protected planet.

A MULTIMEDIA EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

Wild-Touch relies on cinematographic resources to offer an unparalleled educational program for all members of the educational community, from students to parents.

Thanks to exclusive animated films, videos shot across the world and storyboard diagrams, the story of our planet is narrated through a dedicated platform which provides freely available contents.

And such visual contents are substantiated by informed written material prepared in cooperation with researchers who are noted authorities on climate and environment issues.

With this educational platform, Wild-Touch forges a bond with the teaching community. Our program is consistently updated according to the teachers' feedback and the environmental agenda. With each scientific breakthrough, Wild-Touch will update the appropriate contents.

Wild-Touch also keeps in contact with the educational community and as of 2015, will deliver lectures dedicated to school audiences. Those will bring climate change to light and offer an opportunity to address the related issues through a common thinking process.

Life and Earth sciences, history, geography, economics… The Ice & Sky educational program offers a cross-disciplinary approach to climate issues. This approach will be disclosed along a threefold global and epic story, now available on:education.iceandsky.com

EDUCATIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC EXPERTISE

AN INTERNATIONAL SCIEN CE EXPERT COMMITTEE

The science committee is involved in each stage of the educational program development process, under the authority of Jérôme Chappellaz, CNRS Research Supervisor, Laboratory of Glaciology and Environmental Geophysics (LGGE) and chairman of the science committee. Such a direct contact with research stakeholders is fundamental for our contents to remain relevant.

AN EDUCATIONAL COMMITTEE

From primary to high school, teachers steering the committee share their field expertise. Their experience in educational methods and needs interlaces with Wild-Touch team’s artistic and editorial know-how. Together, we create didactic and emotionally touching contents. A program dedicated and suitable for young and old alike.
